2007 Legjobb albumai (szerintünk) :) – The best albums of 2007 – by our humble opinion

Ez az év is szerencsésen eltelt, és idén is rengeteg jó zenét hallgathattunk, ismerhettünk meg. Összeállítottunk egy listát az általunk legjobbnak ítéltekről. A lista ötösnek indult, majd tízes lett, de annyi jó albumot adott nekünk a 2007-es év, hogy ezt is kicsit kinőttük.

A 13. helyre került a Tristania utolsó Vibeke Stene-vel készült albuma, az Illumination. Nem rossz, de hallottunk mi már tőlük jobb dalokat is.

12. Serj Tankian első szólóalbuma, melyet simán kiadhatott volna System of a down néven is, az Elect the Dead.

11. Therion-Gothic Kabbalah. Első hallgatásra nem tetszett, számomra elég nehezen emészthető album, bár néhány nóta már akkor a fülembe mászott. A nagy áttörés a budapesti koncert volt, miután elkezdtem máshogy hallgatni, és azóta egyre jobban bejön.

10. After Forever-After Forever: A Decipher album óta bírom őket, követem, ahogy évről-évre változnak. Ez az új album azonban valahogy nem ugrik ki, szépen beillik a többi közé a sorba. Ez indokolja a 10. helyezést.

9. Nemesea-In Control: Sok új zenekart fedeztem fel magamnak az idén, közülük a Nemesea az egyik. Már elkezdtem egy posztot írni róluk, de az új albumról, mely teljesen más mint az előző, sajnos nem nem találtam elfogadható videót. Ami nem múlik, az késik. De reméljük nem sokat.

8. Sirenia – Nine Destinies and a downfall: Szintén friss felfedezés. Régebben Tristania szerű zenét játszottak, ez mostanra sajnos némileg megváltozott.

7. Delight- Breaking Control: Kellemes zene, persze női énekhanggal. És persze éljen a lengyel és magyar nép megbonthatatlan és örök barátsága!

6. Nightwish- Dark Passion Play: Az album amire annyit vártunk. Az album amit valaki a szívébe zárt, valaki gyűlöl. Nekem személy szerint tetszik. Csak nem szabad közben arra gondolnom, hogy Nightwish.

5. Amorphis- Silent Waters: Az eddigiekkel ellentétben az Amorphis régi kedvencem, és el kell ismernem az előző énekes eltávolítása, eltávozása már nagyon ráfért a csapatra. Az új hanggal ez már a második albumuk, amivel visszatértek valahová az Elegy és Tuonela albumok hangzásához.

4. Within Temptation- The heart of everything. Még egy kedvenc csapat, mely rossz irányba halad. Az új albumuk sajnos eléggé Evanescence hangulatú lett. Ettől függetlenül szeretem őket. Ha jönnek Budapestre, ott leszek a koncerten. (Jönnek!! )

3. Epica- The Divine Conspiracy: Egy Ex After Forever tag által alapított csapat mégis milyen lehetne? Lehetne akár rossz is, de ez nem az.

2. Tarja Turunen- My winter storm: Nagyon vártam mivel rukkol elő Turunen kisasszony a szakítás után. Csakúgy, mint a Therion esetén itt is kellett az élő koncert, és Tarja magával ragadó személyisége ahhoz, hogy megkedveljem ezt az albumot.

1. Agua De Annique- Air. Szubjektív listám első helyén Anneke új bandája foglal helyet. Megint csak ismételni tudom magam: ezért kár volt elhagyni addigi csapatát. Ez egy új Gathering album más néven. De nagyon kedvelem.

Yet again a year passed, and we were fortunate enough to listen good music all the way through it. We made a small compilation out of the bests of them. The list was intended to have only five members, but we were presented with so many good releases that even ten was not enough.

To the 13th place came the last album of Tristania featuring Vibeke Stene as vocalist, called Illumination. Not bad, but not their best.

The 12th is the solo album of Serj Tankian, what he could have released under the label System of a Down. This is the Elect the Dead. (my opinion differs in this. This album is weak for a SOAD release. I miss Daron Malakians guitar play and voice)

11. Therion – Gothic Kabbalah. After first listening, i wasn’t charmed too much. Pretty hard an album to digest, although there are quite a few remarkable songs on it. The breakthrough was the Therion gig in Budapest a few weeks ago, since then it has became better somehow. (still somewhat rough for me)

10. After Forever – After Forever: I like them since their ablum, Decipher, and keep an eye on their musical development from year to year. This album is not an outstanding one, but passes on the line of their releases.

9. Nemesea-In Control: I discovered quite a few bands last year, one of them was Nemesea. A post is being made on their new album which is totally different from their previous releases, but I was unable to find a decent video. What is late is not forgotten, the post will follow (once).

8. Sirenia – Nine Destinies and a downfall: Another fresh discovery. They used to play Tristania-like music (no wonder, as the band was founded by a former member of Tristania), but they changed their musical style, unfortunately (actually, i like their latest release the best, because it is quite unique.)

7. Delight- Breaking Control: Nice music, with a female voice, naturally . And long live the unbreakable and eternal friendship of the polish and hungarian people! (in my list, this album is in the top 5, although i only got to know them a month ago or soy. But the song “A bare tree” is one of the best songs of 2007 for me)

6. Nightwish- Dark Passion Play: The album that we waited for so much. The album that was praised and damned. I like it. I just don’t want to think that this is Nightwish. (i like it. New, fresh and good. And that’s all)

5. Amorphis- Silent Waters: Unlike the previous bands, Amorphis is an old favourite of me. I must admit that the departure of their previuos singer was a well waited event. It is their second album with their new voice, it’s music is somewhere between their Elegy and Tuonela albums.

4. Within Temptation- The heart of everything. Another of the favourites, but – in my view – they are heading to a wrong direction. This would be perfect for Evanescence, but from them we expected something more Within Temptation-like. But i like them and looking forward attending t their gig in a few weeks.

3. Epica- The Divine Conspiracy: A band founded by a former member of After Forever. What like could it be? It could be bad, but it is not

2. Tarja Turunen- My winter storm: I expected her solo comeback and was eager to hear what she would make. Like in the case of Therion, a live event and her charming personality was needed to make me like the album.

1. Agua De Annique- Air. The first on my list is Anneke with her new band. I again can only repeat myself. For this, it was unnecessary to leave her former ban. It is a The Gathering album under a different name. But it is very good!
