Elég rosszul indult a nap, a beígért AN-225 nem jött, hiába vártuk több százan a reptér déli sarkán a szitáló ködben. Hat, fél hét fele ígérték, gondoltam azt már nem várom meg, hisz hatra a Pecsába kellett mennem. Ivánnal beálltunk a meglepően hosszú sorba, Dani és Endréék előrelátóan késtek kicsit. Azért meglepően, mert az előző két alkalommal azonnal bejutottunk. Igaz akkor nem péntek volt, és egyik zenekar sem a populárisba hajló ágát játszotta a rock zenének. A második sorbanállás a ruhatár előtt már megszokott volt, sajnos a Pecsában elég kevés ruhatáros dolgozhat. Még nem adtuk le a kabátunkat, mikor az első előzenekar a húrok közé csapott, én pedig gondolkodóba estem. Ismerős volt a zene, nagyon is, azt is tudtam hol hallottam (PontFM a Bakelit sötét oldala című műsorában), de egyszerűen nem emlékeztem rá kik ők. Aztán beugrott: ők az Idea’s Bármily meglepő, de a csapat már tizennégy éves múltra, és a demókkal együtt 7 albumra tekinthet vissza.Kun Anita a csapat jelenlegi hangja 2005-ben csatlakozott, ezzel a stílus kicsit After Foreveresre változott, de ez cseppet sem baj. Sőt. . Az Idea’s és a Coronatus beállása közötti időt beszélgetéssel töltöttük, mikor a színpadon egy szőke nő jelent meg és egy gitárt helyezett el. Női road? És milyen csinos! Aztán kiderült, hogy a road nem road, hanem énekesnő, és a Coronatus egyik tagja. Szerintem a Nightwish, és a Gathering sikerének egyik rossz következménye, hogy a konzervatóriumot ilyen-olyan okkal otthagyott énekesnők metálzenekarokat alapítanak. Dani szerint a Coronatus az evolúció következő lépcsőfoka, egyből két énekesnővel támadja a gomba módra szaporodó konkurenciát. És nem is rosszul! A szinte csak refrénekből álló és gitárszólókat csak nyomokban tartalmazó zenéjük szinte egyből rabul ejtette a közönséget. A szőke (mellesleg várandós!!) hölgy nemcsak hogy jó hanggal rendelkezik, de bizony gitárszólót is adott elő. Miután elpakoltak maguk után (minden egyes tag megjelenését hatalmas ováció követte), szinte azonnal szinre lépett a Within Temptation. Az öt taggal (az egyik gitárosRobert Westerholt sajnos egy sérülés miatt nem volt jelen) színre lépő csapat az első pillanattól kezdve letaglózta a közönséget, egy másodpercre se engedték lankadni a figyelmet. A koncert javát az új album dalai adták, de sokunk örömére a régebbi albumokról is előadtak néhány dalt. A zenét a háttérre kivetített képek egészítették ki. Nagyon jó hangulatú koncert volt, örülök, hogy részt tudtam rajta venni. (Bár így a Delight post megint csúszik egy hetet) Apost elején említett repülő végül szombat délelőtt érkezett meg, szintén elég sokat vártunk, rá a zuhogó esőben. A reptér túlsó végén. The day started rather badly, the AN-225 that was promised to land did not show up, although a few hundred people (me among them) awaited her in the southern corner of the airfield. It was delayed until half to seven, bu I could not wait it, as I had to be in the Petőfi Hall by six.

Ivan and me started to stand the surprisingly long quewe, Endre and Dani were provident enought to be a bit late, and join us at the head of the quewe. We are not used to wait that much to enter to a gig, although i must admit, usually they are not on fridays and aren’t featured by too popular bands . The second quewe for the cloakroom was as usual (but waaaaay much longer), and while we were waiting for our jackets to be taken away the first band began to play. That made me think and wonder. Familiar, it vas very familiar, i even knew where i heard it (PontFM radio, ‘Dark side of the bakelite’ magazine), but I could not remember who they were. Then it popped up: the Idea’s! Surprising, but this band is eleven year old, and has seven records (with the demos). Their lead vocalist joined them in 2005, with her they style changed, it is a bit After Forever-like, but this is not a problem for me, not at all

After them we were chatting, while a blond woman put a guitar to the stage. A female road? And how pretty she is! In the end it turned out that she wasn’t a road but the lead vocalist of Coronatus, the second band of the evening! One of the bad effects of the success of Nightwish and The Gathering is that almost every woman who drops out of a conservatory founds a metal band . By Dani’s opinion, Coronatus stands for the next step of evolution of the female-fronted metal bands, as they are double-female-fronted-metal And they are good! Their music, what is easy to consume with lots of choruses and a few guitar-solos, was well appreciated. Even the lead vocalist (the blond female-road) played a solo (btw she is doing the tour while being pregnant).

After they finished (and carried their stuff down the stage by themselves, being applauded every time a member stepped to the stage) almost immediately came Within Temptation.

There were only five members on stage (Robert Westerholt (guitar) was absent due to an injury) but they soon made the crowd stunned. And there weren’t a second of easing. Most of the program consisted of the songs from the new album, but much to our delight, some older songs were performed as well. The music was backed up with images and videos projected to a backdrop.

It was a very elated concert, I’m glad to have been there (although this makes the Delight-post delay with one more week).
